Greater Greater Washington is proud to be the region’s primary source for news, insights, and advocacy aimed at making our community more diverse, equitable, and sustainable as it continues to grow.
As we celebrate our 11th birthday, we hope you, our readers, will join with us and support our work through our new membership program, the GGWash Neighborhood. We need to raise at least $15,000 this year, which is 250 members.

Celebrate with us!
We look forward to closing our birthday fundraising drive with a party in early March. All members and anyone who donates this month will get a ticket to join the celebration! Already donated and not sure if you RSVPed? Contact jgreen@ggwash.org.
Here are the three levels of Neighbors and what you get:
Friend ($60/year or $5/month)
An online discussion group: We’re creating an email list (and in the future may switch it to a more sophisticated digital forum), also called the GGWash Neighborhood. This will be an online space to talk all things urbanism with your fellow GGWash neighbors, to discuss and debate urbanist topics.
Events and passes: We are launching the GGWash Forum, a series of panel discussions on hot urbanist topics. These lively events are an opportunity to get insight from leading figures and network with fellow readers, and all Neighbors will be able to attend for free.
Advocate ($120/year or $10/month)
Includes all of the above, PLUS
Blog sneak peeks: See GGWash content before anyone else! Neighbors who join at certain levels will be able to take an exclusive early look at certain blog posts (up to about one a week). The posts will be about finished but not 100% edited, so you might see them before some typos get fixed or even other changes made. And you will even be able to add comments before the posts go live to the public!
Q&A conference calls: We will have periodic discussions by phone or online chat with GGWash staff, contributors, and collaborators to dive deeper into our news and advocacy. Our first Q&A, on November 2 at noon, will give you an inside look at the GGWash endorsements process.
Leader ($300/year or $25/month)
Includes all of the above, PLUS
Adopt-a-tag: Show the internet how much you love GGWash content. The “adopt-a-tag” badge with your name will appear on every post published for three months under a content tag that you choose, like HOUSING or PARKING or whatever you pick (depending on availability).
Member Advisory Committee: You can have a voice in GGWash activities through the Member Advisory Committee. This will include two in-person gatherings per year to discuss and give feedback.
